While burning Thich Quang Duc never moved a muscle.

I wish more pictures like this showed up in the Native American tag…however it’s mostly all about this new “tribal trend”/cultural appropriation stuff

oh my…the guy in the fourth picture is very handsome!

Giant agree to both statements!

concurred. I also wish though, that more modern representations of native americans showed up. We’re still around… we didn’t become stuck in the late 1800s.

Agreed, the history and culture in this photos are beautiful, but also more modern representations of our culture are much needed. Contemporary, current, depictions.

Regardless of old or new, all culture is fascinating and deserves to be showcased.

Andrew Kolb´s Space Oddity children´s book

“Have you ever listened to a song and your mind’s eye is immediately filled with visuals? David Bowie’s classic space epic is one such song for me. Every lyric paints such a vivid picture that I figured ‘Oh hey, I guess I’ll make that into a children’s book!’ Yes, I talk like this. Although I haven’t heard from Mr. Bowie (yet), why wait to share the full book?”

Here.
